About

Reformation Fundraising is an organisation started in 2020 with the aim to raise money to help relieve situations across the world that they feel are most important at the time. This started with a 19hr livestream, followed by 24hr streams for every year after 2020, each year fundraising for a different charity. Over the years, it has been joined by many different streamers, raising a collective £5144.98.

Streams

2020 19hr Stream

Lkactus was the person to originally have the idea to run the Reformation Fundraising livestreams, although at the time it was not branded as such. The idea came from came across an advertisement for a 19hr gaming event for the Red Cross' Operation Covid-19, wherein you were able to create your own stream and raise money to help with relief for the ongoing pandemic. This intrigued both himself and Lordimass, partially because they were interested in helping out, but also because it gave them the opportunity to play more games together. This concept became a recurring theme, and eventually an annual tradition. Read more about Reformation Fundraising on the main article.

On this year they raised £531.50 for the Red Cross: Operation Ukraine, but they did not capture a VOD of the stream due to their inexperience with streaming. Also see the stream archive on ReformationFundraising.com

2021

The second year of streaming was inspired by an event being held in Lkactus' school during the Covid-19 lockdown. The task was to run a charity event and raise as much money as possible, it technically wasn't a competition, but Reformation Fundraising definitely won with their approximate total of £600. The exact total is unknown because the donations page was shared with the whole class participating in the event, the next closest amount raised was roughly £100. The charity for this event was decided via an in class vote which decided that Mental Health UK was the best decision at the time.

Also see the stream archive on ReformationFundraising.com, this time it also includes a VOD.

2022

The 3rd stream was the first stream in which they properly archived the full event, that is, the donation log and the VOD are accessible on the website. It was at this point that the events began to become a tradition, given that this was the third one in the series. This stream also contained several technical issues which led to the stream being forced into five parts. £703.48 was raised for Mind this year.

At the beginning of this stream, the news came through that Russian troops had entered Ukraine.

2023

At the beginning of the 2022 livestream news came through that Russian troops had entered Ukraine, so one year later the team felt that it was only right to raise money to support people in Ukraine, this was done by picking the Red Cross again, but this time for Operation Ukraine. During this stream we raised nearly double the amount from the previous year, an absolutely incredible total of £1310, reaching four figures for the first time.

2024

The fifth stream was by far the largest one to date, raising exactly £2000 for two different charities. This number is nearly the same as the previous two years combined, leaving everyone involved baffled by the success of the event. The first charity in this event was Teach Me Happy; Teach Me Happy is an alternate provision school which provides resources for children with neurodivergence and those that struggle in mainstream education. One of these children was Lordimass' brother, KingDuckie.

In 2024 they also raised money for Doctors Without Borders. This is because in the previous year they raised money to help out in Ukraine to support them and end the war, unfortunately that was still not the case, and the war was still ongoing. Due to this, 50% of the donations went to Doctors Without Borders. This charity provides medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare.

This year was also the first year in which we utilised the website, along with providing an archive of all of the previous years. After the event, 2024 was also added to the archive, and is accessible here
